Dr. April Lind, Founder of Clarity
I didn’t set out to build an educational platform for women.
I set out to answer a question I kept hearing from women in exam rooms, in conversations with friends, and in quiet moments after long days:
“Why didn’t anyone tell me this?”
As a physician in women’s health, I have spent more than twenty years caring for women across life stages. My training spans internal medicine and pediatrics, a combination that has always oriented me toward the whole arc of a person’s health rather than a single chapter of it. A master’s degree in physiology from Georgetown University gave me the scientific foundation to understand hormonal systems in depth. Board certification in functional medicine, and formal training in both NaProTechnology and FEMM, shaped how I think about fertility awareness and cycle literacy as clinical skills – not merely lifestyle choices, but legitimate tools for understanding female physiology across the lifespan.
With that background and experience across hospital medicine, primary care practice, and integrative clinical settings, I saw the same pattern emerge again and again.
Many women have not been introduced to the basic physiology of their reproductive systems or to the quiet ways their bodies communicate through rhythm, sensation, and change. Women were navigating real physiological changes yet often came in unsure whether what they were noticing was meaningful or worthy of discussion.
Too often, the medical system meets these questions with limited time, fragmented care, or reassurance without understanding. Outside the clinic, women are met with extremes: either silence or a flood of conflicting advice that is loud, polarized, and often fear-driven.
What was missing was not care.
What was missing was clarity.
My approach to the female body is shaped by the conviction that the body’s rhythms are meaningful, not merely mechanical, and that understanding them fully requires attending to both their biology and their significance.
I created MyClarity because women deserve to understand what is happening in their bodies before they are told what to do about it. Not from theory, but from twenty years of sitting with women who deserved a better explanation than they were given.
Women live their lives in a quiet, ongoing relationship with their bodies. Long before anything becomes clinical, they notice subtle changes: energy, mood, sleep, resilience, intimacy. During hormonal transitions, those changes can feel destabilizing; especially when no one has named them or explained them.
MyClarity exists to name what has gone unnamed: to offer education that honors your intelligence and lived experience, that holds space for the full human experience accompanying every physiological one, and that gives you the language to walk into any clinical conversation with confidence.
Female physiology is cyclical, not static. Hormones rise and fall, the nervous system adapts and responds, and lived experience shifts across the month and across life stages.
MyClarity teaches women how to recognize these patterns, understand their timing, and interpret what their bodies are communicating—so symptoms are no longer random, frightening, or self-blaming.
Education doesn’t eliminate difficulty — it gives it context.
MyClarity is physician-founded and informed by:
The content reflects what is well-established, what is evolving, and where medicine still has limits. It does not overpromise certainty where it does not exist.
MyClarity is intentionally restrained. It does not diagnose. It does not prescribe. It does not interpret labs. It does not replace individualized medical care.
Instead, it equips women to:
Education is offered as empowerment, not authority.
MyClarity acknowledges that women’s health is never only biological.
Hormonal transitions intersect with:
MyClarity makes space for the full human experience without reducing women to symptoms or systems.
Women today have access to more health information than ever before, and yet less coherent understanding of how their bodies actually work across the lifespan.
From adolescence to midlife, the female body moves through meaningful hormonal transitions: the onset of cycling, contraceptive decisions, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, perimenopause, and menopause. At each stage, women are often given management strategies but not integration.
MyClarity offers something increasingly rare: a coherent, lifespan-based approach to female physiology, integrating biology, lived experience, and dignity at every stage.
The foundation for that approach was built from over twenty years of clinical medical practice, a Master of Science in physiology, and formal training in fertility awareness methods. More importantly, it was also built in exam rooms, in conversations that ran long because a woman finally felt heard, and in the recurring recognition that understanding changes something that reassurance alone cannot reach.
Imagine a generation of girls who grow up understanding their menstrual cycles instead of fearing or dreading them.
Imagine women recognizing the normal hormonal transitions of adulthood instead of wondering if something is wrong.
Imagine mothers knowing what healing after birth should actually feel like.
Imagine entering perimenopause prepared instead of surprised.
Imagine menopause being understood as another stage of health rather than the end of it.
That’s the future MyClarity exists to help build.
Join us in creating a world where every woman can understand the language of her own body.
Thoughtfully developed courses, eBooks, workbooks, and MyCare conversation guides covering the full arc of female physiology. Cycle literacy and ovulation awareness, perimenopause, and menopause. Each offering is self-paced, clinically grounded, and designed to be returned to as life stages change.
Begin where your questions feel most alive. There is no wrong entry point.
Most women leave appointments with the same questions they walked in with.
Understanding your body changes the conversation. A clinic appointment is short. Your experience isn’t.
The MyCare Conversation Guide for your phase helps you organize what you have noticed, identify the questions you want answered, and communicate more clearly with your healthcare professional. It’s not a script. It’s a thinking tool that makes the conversation possible.
